Breakfast...It's Whats For Dinner

Once every week here in the Griffith household we eat breakfast for dinner.
1) Because it's cheap.
2) Because it's delicious.
3) Because it's quick and easy...and that's just how we roll.

Here's what we had last week...
{recipe adapted from HERE}

This new spin on ham and eggs was pretty darn delicious and super easy to boot!

Ingredients

Slices of ham {I used black forest}
Eggs
Cheese
S&P

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line each muffin cup with a piece of ham.

Fill each ham cup with an egg. You can either scramble it or leave it whole. I did a few of each.

Top with a little salt and pepper and some shredded cheese and bake for about 15-20 minutes, depending on if you like the yolk runny or not.

That's it!!

And really what's breakfast without...
{recipe taken from HERE}

Oh, yes. I'm about to go there. And you're about to love me forever.

Ingredients

1 tube of crescent roll dough
2 tablespoons butter melted
Cinnamon
Brown Sugar

Preheat the oven according the crescent roll directions. Lay out half of the dough {4 triangles} and pinch the seams together.

Use a rolling pin to smooth the seams and roll the dough into a square about 1/4" thick. Brush with half the melted butter and then sprinkle with as much cinnamon and brown sugar as you wish...don't be stingy, let your hair down and live a little ;)

Roll dough into a log and cut into 8 pieces. Place mini rolls into a greased mini muffin tin. Repeat steps with the second half of the crescent roll dough. Bake according to package direction.

Meanwhile...as your house begins to fill with the most delectable smell of cinnamon roll goodness, you can go ahead and make the icing.

Icing Ingredients

1-2 teaspoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon milk
3/4 cup powdered sugar

In a bowl, whisk together maple syrup and milk. Add in powdered sugar until desired consistency is reached. Drizzle over warm cinnamon rolls and try, just try to contain your happiness.

There really are no words, only sounds, to describe the tastiness of these little devils.
Now wipe your chin and go make some breakfast...for dinner!

xoxo,
Lacee
